Questions, answered

›Why is it called TwoTrue?

Two people, true to each other — and true to themselves. Closeness doesn’t come from one of you disappearing into the other, or from both of you pretending things are fine. It comes from two whole people being honest about who they are, and trusting each other with it. That’s why every answer starts in private: what you share is really yours, and what you learn about each other is really true.

›Is this therapy?

No. TwoTrue is a guided space for everyday understanding and growth. It draws on established counseling approaches, but it doesn’t diagnose or treat anything. Many couples use it alongside counseling — and when things are serious, we’ll help you find a licensed professional and crisis support.

›Can my partner see my answer before they answer?

No. Answers stay hidden until you’ve both replied — then they’re revealed together. Before that, your partner only sees that you’ve answered.

›What does my partner never see?

Your personal space: your journal, your connection profile, your private intentions for the relationship, your reflections, whether Pause stepped in, and how you felt after a conversation. Your “how to love me” guide and monthly check-ins stay private unless you choose to share them.

›What does the AI see?

Only what each feature needs. Anything both of you will read is built only from answers you’ve both revealed. Your private reflection may also use your own profile — never your partner’s private words. Private details can gently shape which questions you get, but only as simple signals, never as text. You can turn that off.

›Can your staff read what we write?

Our admin tools are built so they can’t — they show counts and statuses, never content. We never sell your data, and our AI providers don’t train on it.

›How is this different from a question app?

Questions are only the start. After each reveal you get insight into what your answers mean, the next question builds on them, and suggestions become experiments you check back on. Over time you build a playbook of what actually works for the two of you — and a monthly check-in shows whether you’re growing closer.

›What if my partner isn’t ready to join?

Start on your own. Build your connection profile, journal privately, and learn about how you love and connect. Invite them whenever it feels right.

›What if we’re going through a hard time?

Tell the app when you set up your space, privately. It will start gentler and go slower. If something you’re about to send suggests you or someone else may be unsafe, we’ll show crisis resources right away.

›Can I speak my answers instead of typing?

Yes. Tap Speak under any answer box (or the microphone on your phone’s keyboard). Your browser’s own speech service turns your voice into text — Google’s in Chrome, Apple’s in Safari — and we only receive the text you choose to save.

›Can we write our own questions?

Yes. Keep a personal library of your own questions in any format and ask them in your space whenever you like.

›Can I delete things?

Anytime: a single answer, a journal entry, or your whole account — immediately. You can also download everything you’ve written.

›What happens if we close our space?

Each of you keeps your own words — your answers, check-ins and guide — in your personal journal. Never the other person’s. The shared space is then deleted after a grace period, or right away if either of you chooses.

›Is faith part of it?

Only if you want it. You can include your faith, include it only when it’s relevant, or leave it out entirely.

›How much does it cost?

It’s free to start.
